Happy Birthday

Waking up to balloon animals and puzzles, this girls favorite pass time, oh yes. My husband stayed up all night last night learning how to make different kinds of balloon animals for me to have this morning. Which I find so sweet. He made a swan, parrot, turtle, dog, giraffe, elephant, rabbit, and a snail :) Oh my gracious I just love them and him so much for taking the time for something most would think is silly and making me some. So unique and went with the theme of the day since my only request for my 23rd birthday was a trip to the zoo. :) How thoughtful. I am one happy lady, I can tell you that much!! He is pretty much amazing!!

Been A While

Whoa.. Where was I? LOL Well it has been some time since I have been on here. We have gotten really busy with moving in our new house and all that I just haven't taken time to blog in a while. Maybe I shall start fresh. I will spare you the snooze story of the past couple months or so and just throw some highlights at you :)

-Moved back to NC from DC
-Bought a home.
-Josh had another marathon in Boston.
-Had a great summer.
-Done some decorating ( I will get to that )
-Got our baby girl back and got a new baby girl too :)
({Lilly})
 ({Lulu})
-Oh and most exciting of all. I have started losing weight :) 40 lbs so far since May 14th!! Whoop, pretty exciting but still have about 50 more I want to lose.

I am sure I have missed so much in there but.. I will try to go through pics a day at a time and that will be some blogs for a while. Maybe some reminiscing ;)

So Josh and I have started on the last room to finish in the house. We have started by IKEA. Which I love and now we are just trying to finish up. Which is so exciting for me because that means more time and room for crafts. I wont have to pull stuff out and then put it back. I will be able to organize things to be more useful. It is a mess right now but hopefully soon I can get it in full functioning order.

Gooey Goodness..

Tonight..
I made the Mr one of his favorite dinners.
Salisbury Steak, Green Beans, and Mashed Potatoes.

For dessert, I chose I recipe I have been drooling over for a while.
Gooey Butter Cake
I found the recipe from Live a Little Wilder

I love her blog and her recipes are amazing. Now although they turned out delicious, I have to say that the appearance was not nearly as nice as hers.

Very good!!

Oh Geeze..

Thank you to my mother in law, for bringing this to my attention :)

Whom I also need to get into the world of blogging!! and I will LeAnn!! {PROMISE}

So now for my lengthy [I will cut to the chase] explanation as to why I have fallen behind once again..

The Holidays, Preparation for moving from DC to NC, and well just plain LAZYNESS

Told you I would keep it fairly short :)

But any-who, they may be short coming in the next couple weeks because of all that we will have going on..

Still Much Love Peeps!!

Veterans Day Weekend

Me and Josh took a trip back to NC :) He was asked to be the Grand Marshall of our hometown's Veterans Day parade. All in dress blues, it took my breath. He looked so handsome an it gave me such a great feeling of pride for what he has done and how far he has come in his recovery. I am truly blessed to have him in my life. We had an amazing weekend home and now we are headed back to DC only to be back shortly for Thanksgiving.

We also have been looking at houses for a while now, just not quite finding that one that sticks out..until this weekend :) we think we may have found the ONE! How exciting. Well were on that long trip home so I am going to keep babe some company while he's driving.

-Much Love

A couple suppers..

So I have been meaning to share the past couple nights worth of dinners, but just didn't make it around to it until now.. So here they are :)

Ribs..
Season the lightly and cover with lemon slices and onion slices.
Bake covered in oven at 400 degrees for an hour..
While waiting for the hour to be up, prepare your sauce. I use salt, pepper, and favorite bbq sauce.
After the hour is up, take ribs out throw lemon and onions off and brush with the sauce. Put back in oven for 35 minutes uncovered. And they come out like this..yummy :)
Josh decided he wanted deviled eggs, so he made these, and they turnt out great!!

Last nights dinner..
Fried Chicken..
Home made biscuts.

 And the yummy fried chicken..
 It was sooooo good!!

Have good night :)

Fall Decorations

Are finally out.
I am so excited about them too, because I haven't really ever had a chance to decorate for fall yet.
Joshua went with me to AC Moore (one of my favorite stores!!)
He even helped pick stuff out.
Wanna See?

Joshua had the idea for the hay bale, and I added to it.
SO with my fall decor came the chilly weather.
It was 54 here in DC today.
Happy Fall :)
